Winter Camp Gonnawannagoagain’ is for children with autism ages 6 and older, along with their siblings.

Siblings ages 4 to 11 may attend for a reduced rate, and siblings 12 and older may attend as volunteers.

We accept applicants with a wide variety of ability levels. Students who are non- verbal, or require toileting assistance are accepted.

Staff is mindful of sensory integration needs, language processing delays, dietary restrictions, obsessive compulsive tendencies, and limited awareness of environmental dangers.

Students with emerging verbal and social skills benefit from typical peer interactions and supported introduction to a variety of social and recreational skills.

“Higher” functioning students; those that are verbal, have limited cognitive impairment, and emerging social skills benefit greatly from the “bully free” environment created by trained peer volunteers.

Students may attend respite for any or all of the days that it is offered.

Students who react physically or violently to anxiety or frustration may not be permitted to attend respite due to the lack of 1:1 staffing that is available during our summer program.

Camp staff cannot administer any medications.  Students who are able to take their medication given a verbal prompt, may be sent to camp with only the dosage for that day.

Due to the active nature of our camp, F.A.C.T. is limited in its ability to accept students with physical disabilities, including visual and hearing impairments.

Tuition for winter respite is $60 per day for children with ASD. Financial assistance available for those that qualify.
